Privacy policy

This page explains what information Ventrix collects through this website, why we collect it, and who can see it. We collect only what we need to run our programs.

What we collect

• Mailing list. Your email address, whether you signed up as a student or a professional, and the date you agreed to receive emails.
• Mentorship applications. The student's name, email, school, grade, city-level location, the written answers on the form, and the name and email of a parent or guardian.
• Speaker and mentor applications. Your name, professional email, role, organization, industry, profile link, and the written answers on the form.

We do not ask for home addresses, phone numbers, dates of birth, or payment details, and this site does not create student accounts.

How we use it

• To send the emails you signed up for.
• To review applications and contact applicants about decisions and the program.
• To keep the forms free of spam and abuse.

We do not sell personal information or share it for advertising.

Who can see it

Application and mailing-list records are visible only to authorised Ventrix administrators who sign in to review them. They are never shown on public pages. If we use an email delivery service to send messages, that service processes your email address on our behalf.

Students under 18

Ventrix programs are for high school students. This site is not directed at children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect their information. Mentorship applicants must tell a parent or guardian that they are applying and provide that person's contact details. We include the parent or guardian in program communications.

Embedded video

Panel recordings are embedded from video hosts such as YouTube or Vimeo. When you play a recording, that host may collect information under its own privacy policy.

Your choices

• Leave the mailing list at any time on the unsubscribe page or with the link in any email.
• Ask us to show you, correct, or delete the information we hold about you or your child through the contact page.

Changes

If this policy changes in a way that affects how we use information we already hold, we will say so on this page before the change takes effect.
